On behalf of the board, the staff and the children at Bethlehem Community Centre, we would like to extend our appreciation to your organisation for the continual support you have shown our home over the years. Without your support we would not have been able to successfully maintain and address the needs of our children here in the home. Your support has played a significant role in fostering an environment where children have been educated, cared for and supported. As we come to the end of this year, we send our appreciation and gratitude to you for your continued assistance to the Bethlehem children’s home. This year we have seen many accomplishments. *Maintaining strong health and care for each of our children

*Two students graduating from medical school

*A visiting volunteer team from Australia

*Small construction upgrades of both homes which include; a new roof for the kitchen in the Soweto home, roof repairs for both the girls and boys hostels in Mwea, a new water tank and a fresh coat of paint for bathrooms and classroom blackboards.

*School fees paid for 30 high school students

*The library now resourced with 2 laptop computers

*16 students graduating from bible and theology school

*8 students graduating their secondary education

*A new project launch, whereby women are given micro loans for small businesses

*Teacher training and equipping for 11 teachers

*New beds and lockers in Mwea

*19 students sitting for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams

*Training for workers and children about child protection and rights

This year has been a huge success and we would like to share these achievements with you. Nonetheless, we have faced a few challenges, especially in the areas of communication, sponsorship and transport departments. With your assistance we believe that next year will bring new success and solutions to these challenges. Bethlehem thanks you in your precious support and we look forward to continuing our affiliation with you in the years to come. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.

God Bless you,

mary

8 top things we can do for our skin

1. Cleanse like a pro..

Cleansing is the most important step in your skincare routine. Remember to cleanse the entire face and neck area. Take the time to massage well so that the

cleanser can deliver the results.

2. Avoid the urge to squeeze pimples.

When we squeeze it can rupture the duct that produces oil. This in turn can cause infection and eventually scarring. The Grace Clay Mask works a treat on pimples.

3. Shun the Sugar

Remember everything you put into your body is reflected in your skin. Look after your skin from the inside out and don’t forget to drink lots of water.

4. Go Green

Everything we use on our face and body goes into our system or gets washed down the drain, so natural products make sense.

5. Know your Skin Type

To optimise your results it helps to match your cleanser and moisturiser to your skin.

6. Get the Glow

AHA’s work to subtly smooth the skin and even out irregular pigmentation. We can use our Infiniti Beauty Fluids and the Glycolic and Hydrating Mask to breathe life back into tired looking skin.

7. Scrub Up

A lot of people think they have dry skin when in actual fact what they are experiencing is an accumulation of dead cells. Using a scrub helps to whisk away the dry, dead skin cells.

8. Stress Less

Remember your skin is like a mirror – it reflects everything that’s going on within your body and mind. So try not to sweat the small stuff – you’ll be more likely to reap the rewards of a healthy complexion.

Preparing your skin for summer

WHY?!

Summer in Australia means sizzling hot summer sun! Have you ever experienced the painful effects of sunburn? The red hot temperature, the sting when touched? After a day in the sun, how many times have you come home to soothe your sunburn?

According to the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, statistics show that skin cancer is the most common type of cancer affecting Australians, being four times more likely to develop than any other form. It is estimated that in 2008 alone, 430,000 new cases of skin cancer were detected.

Think you’re safe? Think again.

Anyone can develop skin cancer, regardless of whether or not your skin burns.

According to Australian Government Statistics, 2 in 3 Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer in their lifetimes. Think about your loved ones – what would you do to prevent them from becoming one of these statistics?

Ultraviolet radiation is the part of sunlight which causes sunburn and skin damage. It is not indicated by light, heat or temperature and can be present at any time. Regardless of whether the day is sunny or overcast, your skin can still be affected by sunburn.

Why take the chance? Grace Cosmetics provides you with the perfect skin defense system to help protect your skin through summer.

My Grace Skincare Range has been bringing me into contact with some lovely ladies and some amazing results.
Here’s one:

Prior to using Grace skincare products, I was only able to use a very limited number of skin care products due to the sensitive nature of my skin. By using Grace Cosmetics, I am now able to use the complete range. These beautiful products have not only dealt with my skin’s sensitivity problem but the anti-ageing ingredients have improved my skin to such an extent that at 63 it is now better than it was when I was in my forties.
